A Conference on The Role of Cultural Tourism in Rural Development Was Given by Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Uğur TOZKOPARAN

A conference addressing the Importance of Cultural Tourism in Rural Development was held by our Faculty Member Dr. Lecturer Uğur TOZKOPARAN at Süleyman Demirel University Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Department of Geography. The conference, which took place on December 17, 2025, at 14:00 in the Türker Taşaltın Conference Hall located in Süleyman Demirel University Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, was attended by Geography Department students and academics.
In the conference, topics such as rural development, cultural tourism, the place and importance of cultural tourism in rural development were discussed, and exemplary tourism practices in terms of rural development in Turkey were mentioned. Additionally, the conference addressed the preservation and evaluation of cultural heritage in rural areas, sustainable development approaches, and the opportunities cultural tourism offers for local development. The conference concluded with a question and answer session.
